Tournament Overview

Event: SAMS Singles IPT 2026
Dates: 12-16 June 2026

Registration & Payment (Western Province Players)

Should you wish to be considered to represent WPMS at this tournament, the requirements are that:

You are paid-up member of WPMS
Your SSA Registration is current.
You must be 35 years old as of 12 June 2026.

Please email (administrator@wpsquash.co.za) by Monday 27 April 2026 if you would like to participate in the tournament. Teams will need to be submitted and deposits paid 1 May 2026.

Western Province will allocate all players to teams.
You may also request to be allocated with specific players (of similar strength) and be entered as a team.

We would especially like to encourage the ladies to enter, as WPMS would like to have representation in both men’s and ladies sections.

The tournament levy of R1500 must be paid to the WP Master’s Squash Account and the proof of payment (POP) sent to (administrator@wpsquash.co.za) by 4pm on the 27th April to confirm your entry.

About WP Masters Squash

Masters Squash is a category within the sport of squash that is specifically designed for players who are generally 35 years old and above. The idea is to allow older players to compete on an even playing field, as they may not have the same physical capabilities as their younger counterparts but often have a wealth of experience and tactical knowledge.

Age categories

Masters Squash usually has different age categories, often in 5-year increments, starting from 35-39, 40-44, and so on, up to 80+. This ensures that players are competing against others of a similar age.

Tournaments

There are specific Masters tournaments held locally, nationally, and internationally. These events are a great way to meet like-minded individuals and compete in a friendly but competitive environment.
